The Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA) brought together more than 7,500 professionals from Florida’s landscape and nursery industry for the 2026 Landscape Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

There is a lesson about preparing for hard times in two stories many of us heard growing up. Noah did not wait for the rain before building the ark, and in Aesop’s fable, the ant prepared for winter while the grasshopper did not.

As I begin my term as FNGLA President, I want to express what an honor it is to represent this industry, and every member of this association.

My congratulations on the good judgment FNGLA membership has demonstrated in electing a Gator as your president.

The Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA) recently hosted its 74th Annual Convention, bringing together industry leaders, growers, landscape professionals, suppliers and advocates from across the state.

As we close the 2025 – 2026 fiscal year for our great association, I find myself reflecting on a journey that has been far more meaningful than I could have fully understood when it began.

Reflecting upon what has already been a whirlwind year as FNGLA President, it’s easy to see why our association has experienced so much success over what will soon be 75 years. It’s all thanks to the spirit and innovation of our members.
