Another wonderful Landscape Show comes to a close! I hope you were able to attend the show and see all our industry has to offer. It was a personal treat this year to help award The 2026 Landscape Show Booth Awards, and recognize those exhibitors who go above and beyond. We have many exhibitors who give so much time and energy to really put on a gorgeous show. The Booth Award judges have a tough job!

Speaking of show highlights: We were also fortunate to have three state legislators attend The Landscape Show this year to see our industry impact in action. Those leaders included Florida Sens. Keith Truenow and Kristen Arrington, and Florida Rep. Hilary Holley. I’m thankful to each for taking the time to show their support and talk to our exhibitors and attendees.

This past month, I also had the opportunity to be present for another award presentation. My home Chapter, the FNGLA Action Chapter, presents the Gene A. Batson Award each year to a member of our Chapter who has displayed outstanding service and leadership within the chapter. I was delighted to help plan this year's event which honored my friend, Patrick Prussing.

It’s been quite the year for Patrick as he was also awarded the 2026 FNGLA Outstanding Volunteer Industry Award at Annual Convention in June. Patrick is an incredible chapter board member who is always there to help. It was a joy to celebrate him! To top off a wonderful event, we were also able to have FNGLA lifetime member Katy Moss Warner speak on our industry's generosity and compassion. Katy has a wonderful way of inspiring action through her incredible storytelling. Congratulations again, Patrick!

In other association news, your FNGLA 2026-27 Officers met up earlier this month in Vero Beach with staff to work on some association topics and further plan the year ahead. We are so fortunate to have an amazing staff and volunteers. I’m so thankful for all they do.

Looking ahead, it feels like the rainy part of our summer is hitting us all at once. Hopefully Florida gets the fall message and it cools down juuuust a bit!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Parrish Signature
