President's Letter: Think Boldy, Explore New Ideas, and Remain Open to What's Possible

Dear FNGLA Members,
As we begin a new year, I’m pleased to welcome you into a season filled with opportunity, growth, and renewed momentum for our industry.
Throughout my presidency, I’ve often asked two simple but powerful questions: “What if...?” and “Why not?”
They remind us to think boldly, explore new ideas, and remain open to what’s possible as we reflect on where we’ve been and imagine where we’re headed.
Many of our members are coming together this month at industry events such as the Tropical Plant International Expo (TPIE), while others are applying fresh ideas and energy within their own businesses and communities.
No matter where or how you engage, each connection, conversation, and insight helps move our industry forward. FNGLA is proud to support plant professionals through education, advocacy, and opportunities to connect.
Thank you for being part of our community and for your continued commitment to the industry we share. May this new year inspire you to ask your own “What if?”—and have the courage to answer with “Why not?”
Warm Regards,
Marcella Lucio-Chinchilla
FNGLA 2025-26 President
