Florida Water Star Accredited Professional Training
Overview: Plan to become a Florida Water Star Accredited Professional by attending this in-person class. This class is required to sit for the FWS-AP exams in landscape and irrigation, which are required to self-certify irrigation installations in Alachua County.
Where: UF/IFAS Alachua County Extension, 22712 W. Newberry Rd., Newberry, FL 32669
When: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2026
Testing: Online after completion of the class. The exam is active for four weeks following the class once you register for the exam.
Training Cost: $50 per person, includes lunch (a $150 value)
Testing Cost: Optional FWS Exam fee is $50 for FNGLA members and $60 for nonmembers. Exam Application can be purchased separately here.
CEUs: FNGLA Certified Professionals, FWS-APs and Inspectors earn 6 CEUs.
