Created in 1977 as the Foliage Hall of Fame, this award was established to honor those individuals who have given unselfishly of their time and effort to see that the foliage industry grew and flourished. Foliage Hall of Fame recipients are now the pioneers of FNGLA's Hall of Fame. This is a lifetime achievement award presented to individuals who have contributed to the environmental horticulture industry through pioneering, teaching, production, legislation, marketing, services or research.
This award was expanded in 2001 to include all industry segments with recipients prior to 2001 considered.
