Keep up Your CEUs

FNGLA's year-round workshops and educational programs and other programs offer CEU credits.

What Are CEUs?

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are credits assigned for taking part in a wide assortment of educational industry activities. The intent of CEUs is to assure FNGLA's certified professionals keep up-to-date on the latest in industry trends, horticultural information and environmentally-sound landscape practices. FNGLA's Certified Professionals are required to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in order to renew their certifications every three years.

  • 1 CEU credit is awarded per hour of training time spent
  • In order to renew your certification, you must earn the required number of CEUs during that three-year certification period.
  • Renewal notices are sent to the certified professional's home address two months prior to one's certification expiration date.
  • There are a ton of ways to earn CEUs. It could be a tour of a local botanical garden or volunteering in a local school’s vegetable garden. We’re open to lots of ways to earn CEUs. After all, it’s about the learning.
