7891 26th Ave. N
St. Petersburg, FL
Note: This is a two-day event which runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 27 - 28, 2019.
The tradition continues...
In 1986 the nursery industry association (FNGA) in cooperation with the City of St Pete, local horticulture program and garden clubs decided to create an event to showcase plants. The GreenThumb Festival has grown to be one of the premier spring horticulture events in the state with over 75,000 people in attendance during the two day show. The organizations led by the St Pete Parks and Recreation officials are bringing GreenThumb Festival to Walter Fuller Park on April 27-28th 2019.
The FNGLA tent will host LifeStyle Landscaping theme with plant diagnostics, soil & water sample testing and plant and garden related items for sale. Tons of attendees drop by to ask about plants in general or their plant purchases. They can talk with landscape professionals about design and installation. Providing some inspiration for personal spaces from FNGLA creative displays in a fun and inviting atmosphere is our goal.
We hope you can join us and earn some CEUs if you need them, reconnect with industry friends or just soak up the knowledge. The intentions of this area are to help the public understand plants and see the value of professional certifications. Proceeds from sales go to State FFA competition and other educational outreach events such as Farm City and Florida Botanical Gardens Holiday Lights Tent.
