BASIC 101 Irrigation Training

Overview -

About Basic 101 Irrigation Training: An efficient irrigation system is more than just making the water come out of the sprinklers. Part One of the program takes the installation or service technician through the basic principles of sprinkler coverage and optimizes plant health and appearance. Come find out how to incorporate principles into their jobs every day.

About Solvent Cement Certification: Weld-On® has set the standard for quality, reliability and sustainability since 1954. This portion of the training will provide key tips on proper solvent welding techniques for small and large diameter plastic pipe and fittings. Complete the day with a solvent certificate.


Bruce Funnell, specification manager, southeast, The Toro Company. Bruce has worked in the irrigation industry since 1977, over 40 years. Bruce has worked in Michigan, the Midwest, northeast, eastern Canada, southeast, and now resides in Florida.

Bruce holds the following certifications:

1.) Certified Irrigation Designer Golf Course (CID)
2.) Certified Irrigation Designer Commercial (CID)
3.) Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA)
4.) EPA WaterSense Partner
